I have officially completed my first week of work! It is such a good feeling to be able to start a routine and be able to work for a company that I admire and have a job that I am passionate about! I have already learned so much about the organization and love how many lives they touch on a daily basis!
After a busy week of learning so much at work, Dan and I joined Steve, Nikki, and Aaron 45 minutes away in Montana at Tongue River for a quick night of camping! The boys jumped off cliffs into the river, gathered trees to use as firewood, and constructed sturdy tents. We ate s'mores, and survived a quick thunderstorm during the night. I was definitely impressed that everything in the tent stayed dry!
Saturday evening, Dan and I joined the gang out at Sheridan College and attended the Rodeo Kick-Off Party. This coming week is Rodeo week and it is a VERY BIG DEAL in this community! The Kick-Off was so much fun~ we got to dance to local musicians on the front lawn and meet many more locals. We are convinced that the people out west must be born how to dance to country music! Dan and I just watch as they all seem to know how to do all these fancy steps with their feet! haha Maybe we'll learn one day! After this week and weekend the number one rule I've learned is to keep warm clothes to put on at night in the car, the temperature drops fast at night!
Like I mentioned, this week is Rodeo week so next weekends blog post will be full of news about cowboys, street dances, float making, and parades!
Love you all and thanks for reading! :-)
